The Lounge
A unique and versatile venue located in the heart of the historic market town of Hertford, The Lounge is located on the lower ground floor of Hertford House, an impressive listed Georgian Townhouse Hotel that combines original features with a contemporary twist.
A boutique hotel, restaurant and bar form the upper floors of the venue providing rooms, catering and breakout areas if required.
The Lounge is the ideal place for a variety of exclusive events catering for parties from 30 – 150 guests including intimate cocktail receptions, private dinners, corporate presentations or even dancing the night away to live bands and DJ’s. Whatever event you have in mind, we have a space to match.

The Courtyard
A sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle, The Courtyard offers a unique destination in the centre of Hertford available for private hire throughout the year.
A flexible space with capacity for 36 seated or 70 standing to enjoy alfresco dining and drink receptions. The venue comes with it’s own bar and bartender for the duration of your event and stage with AV for live music/DJ if required. We have a number of catering options available including canapés, buffet or sit down lunches and dinners
We cater for many types of events such as private parties, birthday’s, corporate events, canape and cocktail reception’s and sit down dinners. The Courtyard is available for full venue hire, area hire – table hire (anything from 2 persons to 36 seated).

On the day you and your guests have privacy of The Lounge, Bar, Restaurant, Courtyard Garden and our 28 Rooms. We would like you to think of our venue as your home for the day and our team will assist with making you as comfortable as possible and making sure your event runs seamlessly from start to finish.
