COVID-19



In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the incredibly challenging times we have all faced over the past few months we have reviewed our hotel policies and procedures to ensure we can safely reopen, welcoming back our hugely missed guests and wonderful team.
 
The changes we have implemented are based on the guidance from HM Government, Public Health England and the National Health Service.
 
We can confirm that we have complied with the government’s ‘COVID-19 Secure’ guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19 in the workplace.
 
Due to the constantly changing nature of this guidance and advice, we ask our guests to be patient with the team especially if our operating practices and protocols require amendments based on government guidance at very short notice.
 
Although some aspects of our service will require changes, please be assured we are still committed to providing a home from home to all our guests.
 
Our duty managers are on hand at all times for you to express any concerns to us and we appreciate your feedback.
 
Please take a look through the list of measures below this message that we have implemented to ensure compliance with the guidance from HM Government and guest safety.
 
We would like to send thanks for all the messages of support we have received since April and are extremely appreciative to our customers who have already booked to eat or stay at the hotel post lockdown.

Cleaning
 
Enhanced cleaning procedures are in place across the site, particularly in communal areas and at touch points including:

  • Taps and washing facilities

  • Toilet flush and seats

  • Door handles and push plates

  • Hand rails on staircases and corridors

  • Lift

  • Machinery and equipment controls

  • Food preparation and eating surfaces

  • Telephone equipment

  • Key boards, photocopiers and other office equipment


Rubbish collection and storage points have been increased and emptied regularly throughout and at the end of each day.
 
 
Our Teams
 
We have provided our team with extra training prior to reopening to ensure they know how to correctly follow the new procedures.
 
Staff will not attend work if they are suffering from any COVID-19 symptoms.
  
Our staff will be washing their hands on a regular basis, antibacterial soap is available in all hand washing areas.
 
Our Venues
 
Signs are in place reminding people of social distancing measures.
 
There are sanitising stations in all areas, guests should use these on entering and exiting.
 
We have introduced one-way systems in public areas where possible.
 
Safe 2-meter queuing distances have been marked out where necessary.
 
Our food & beverage outlets have been rearranged to ensure maximum safe distance between customers.
 

Social Distancing
 
Guests are asked not to travel to us if they suspect they have Covid-19 symptoms.
 
Our cancellation policy has been extended to facilitate late cancellations to 48 hours.
 
Keys will be sanitised before guest check in and room items such as teas, coffees, soaps and waters provided in a sealed bag to ensure no contamination has occurred.
 
We have limited the staff members in reception and introduce measures to limit contact between staff and guests.
 
Any information our guests need for their stay will be emailed to them in advance.
Our bedrooms will be cleaned to our usual high standards using special anti-bacterial cleaning agents. Each room will be sealed with a security sticker to ensure no contamination has taken place prior to check in.
 
Hotel rooms will not be entered for each three days after check in unless specifically requested by the guests.
 
Guests will be asked to use the bathrooms in their rooms rather than our public restrooms where possible to reduce risk.
 
Guests are to drop their keys off in the key drop box provided on reception.
 
We have reduced the number of tables in the dining rooms and expanded our outdoor spaces.
 
We have established strict table/chair sanitisation procedures between guest seating periods.
 
Breakfast will be available from an a la carte menu in our outdoor seating areas or provided as room service in guest rooms.
  
We will use batched cocktails/ingredients where possible to limit the handling of products.
 
Room service will be provided at no extra cost, service is restricted to delivery to the
bedroom door.
 
Menus will be wiped and sanitised after each use
