Blackwater Wines lands at Hertford House for a Friday night dinner at Fore.

This is South African wine with a bit of edge. Small batches, thoughtful farming and bottles that feel alive rather than overworked. Blackwater founder Francois Haasbroek is known for making wines that are honest to where they come from, with a focus on quality and origin rather than polish for the sake of it.

At Fore, the evening takes on a slightly more townhouse feel. Seasonal food, good lighting, interesting wines and a menu built to work naturally with each pour.

The kitchen will bring Tewinbury’s farm-led approach into Hertford, with a dinner that feels relaxed, considered and properly worth coming out for.
